Saint Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church

January 2026

Lamplighter

Grace and peace to you and Happy New Year! Happy 2026! “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away, behold the new has come. “(2 Corinthians 5:17)

We have a year of brand new blessings. New beginnings are both exciting and intimidating. They represent a chance to start fresh and go forth with Christ as our Leader.

Happy 2026, Anno Domini Nastri Jesus Christ, which translates, “in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Yes we have Jesus by our side. Jesus is our Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. (Revelations 22:13)

We have hope and strength knowing that God is with us in all things, including everything here at St. Paul’s. God is constantly at work in our lives creating new opportunities and possibilities for us. One way to start the new year is to prayerfully seek guidance from God. Take time to listen to His voice and ask for direction in your life. God will be your leader. Stay focused on Him, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

Please continue to pray for our church. Prayer is powerful and so is gathering together. Please join us on Sunday mornings at 9:30am and Bible Study at 8:30am. We are thankful and blessed to have Pastor Dennis Rockett three Sundays a month with Holy Communion

Jesus is with you every day through good times and bad, your very Best Friend, as the Holy Spirit continues to be with you and guide you. Ask God to surprise you with His marvelous blessings and remember every day, “This is the day, the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Enjoy the wonders of this beautiful New Year’s hymn, “Now Greet The Swiftly Changing Year.” (LSB 896)

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

May the New Year fill your home with joy, your heart with love and laughter, may God bless you today and every day.

Happy New Year!

See you in church.

Love and Blessings,

Now Greet the Swiftly Changing Year, 896

Now greet the changing year
With joy and penitence sincere.
Rejoice! Rejoice!
With thanks embrace
Another year of grace.
Remember now the Son of God
And how He shed His infant blood.
Rejoice! Rejoice!
With thanks embrace
Another year of grace.

This Jesus came to end sin’s war
This Name of names for us He bore.
Rejoice! Rejoice!
With thanks embrace
Another year of grace.

His love abundant far exceeds

The volume of a whole year’s needs.
Rejoice! Rejoice!
With thanks embrace
Another year of grace.

With Him as Lord to lead our way
In want and in prosperity.
What need we fear in earth or space
In this new year of grace!

“All glory be to God on high,
And peace on earth!” the angels cry.
Rejoice! Rejoice!
With thanks embrace
Another year of grace.

God, Father, Son, and Spirit, hear!
To all our pleas incline Your ear;
Upon our lives rich blessing trace
In this new year of grace.
