Lamplighter
Dear Friends in our Risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,
Happy April! It’s almost Easter! A happy Blessed Easter a few days early. He is Risen Indeed!
Spring is finally here. What an exciting time of year as new life begins to bloom around us. We have new life in Christ! Spring is especially joyful because we have Easter, God’s best promise, His Son, Our Saviour, given for you, for me.
God’s marvelous promises will be shared in our April calls. Based on
2 Corinthians 1:20 all of God’s promises are guaranteed, fulfilled and affirmed with “Yes” and “Amen, “through Jesus Christ. God is forever faithful. His promises are absolutely true and fully realized in Jesus alive and living for us, for you, for me. Death is destroyed! We stand on the promises of God, our Savior!
A favorite Easter hymn (LSB 461) OS “I Know That My Redeemer Lives.”
Dear Friends in Christ,
This beautiful hymn was written in 1775 by Samuel Medley inspired by Job 19:20, offering the comfort and the joy in the resurrection. Job had such faith!
When you receive this April Lamplighter, we will be in Holy Week, a most holy time. On Maundy Thursday, April 2 at 4pm, we will be worshipping and celebrating with Holy Communion the night that Jesus instituted Holy Communion. Good Friday is April 3 and our Tenebrae Service will be at 4M, remembering the day that our beloved Jesus gave His life for us, for you, for me. We thank Pastor Dennis Rockett for being with us. These days are serious ones that encompass and lead us to the most joyful Resurrection Sunday, Easter Sunday on April 5 at 9:30AM (followed by a Continental Breakfast in Koepchen Fellowship Hall.) Please worship with Holy Communion with us as we place our white flowers, replacing our sin flags, on the cross. We joyfully will proclaim- “Jesus is Risen! His is Risen Indeed!”
Our new weekly Bible Study will begin on Tuesday, April 14 at 10AM in our Conference Room. We will be reading and discussing the Portals of Prayer devotion for that day. Please join us. The Word of the Lord endures forever.
May God bless you and keep you.
Remember April showers bring May flowers.
Zechariah 10:1
“Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime, it is the Lord who send the thunderstorms. He gives showers of rain to all people and plants of the fields to everyone. “
Standing on the promise of God, our Savior. Alleluia. Jesus Christ is Risen. He is Risen Indeed-
See you in Church!

-
He lives to silence all my fears,
He lives to wipe away my tears,
He lives to calm my troubled heart.
He lives all blessings to impart. -
He lives, my kind, wise, heavenly friend;
He lives and loves me to the end;
He lives, and while He lives, I’ll sing;
He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King. -
He lives to grant me daily breath;
He lives, and I shall conquer death;
He lives my mansion to prepare;
He lives to bring me safely there. -
He lives, all glory to His name!
He lives, my Jesus, still the same;
Oh, the sweet joy this sentence gives:
I know that my Redeemer lives!
5. I know that my Redeemer lives;
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, He lives, who once was dead;
He lives, my everlasting Head.
6. He lives triumphant from the grave;
He lives eternally to save;
He lives all glorious in the sky;
He lives exalted there on high.
7. He lives to bless me with His love,
He lives to plead for me above,
He lives my hungry soul to feed,
He lives to help in time of need.
8. He lives to grant me rich supply;
He lives to guide me with His eye;
He lives to comfort me when faint;
He lives to hear my soul’s complaint.
