Jesus is Risen! He is Risen, Indeed!
Happy June! Warm summer greetings! Peace be with you on this wonderful time of year. It’s so beautiful with longer, warmer days, gardens abounding with fragrant flowers, fruits and vegetables. Jesus loves you so “berry” much.
Pentecost was the close of the Easter season, forty days of Lent, and fifty days of Easter. Now we are in the Trinity church season. The Trinity color is green. Green brings to mind growth and helps us to remember to spread God’s word and love to make it grow. Plant the seed of Jesus’s love and resurrection. Thank you, Holy Spirit. Let’s be gardeners for God. We are sent and equipped for this with the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Holy Spirit, Light Divine.
A special hymn for June is Holy, Holy, Holy. (LSB, 507)
Dear Friends in Our Risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,
Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty
-
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee;
Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty!
God in Three Persons, blessed Trinity! -
Holy, holy, holy, All the saints adore Thee,
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
Cherubim and seraphim falling down before Thee;
Which wert and art, and ever-more shalt be. -
Holy, holy, holy, Tho’ the darkness hide Thee,
Tho’ the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see,
Only Thou art holy; there is none beside Thee
Perfect in pow’r, in love, and purity. -
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty!
All Thy works shall praise Thy name in earth and sky and sea.
Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty!
God in Three Persons, blessed Trinity.
This beloved Hymn was written by Reginald Heber, a man who revered God, based on Revelation 4:8, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty who was and is and is to come!”
In the English language, exclamation points are used to emphasize the importance of something. In Jewish vernacular, repetition is used. So Holy! Holy! Holy! is the absolute sign of someone or something extremely important. That Someone is our Lord God Almighty. The number three also represents the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, God, the Holy Spirit. Enjoy this beautiful Hymn.
We are thankful and blessed to have Pastor Dennis Rockett with us two Sundays a month as we joyfully celebrate the Lord’s Supper.
Hope to see you as we worship together. St. Paul’s is still moving forward with Christ as our Leader.
To God Be The Glory!
Happy June. Spring being a tough act to follow, God created June.
Let the SON shine!

Remember, St. Paul’s is moving forward with Christ as our Leader.
“We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us”.
