Saint Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church

September 2025

Lamplighter

Greetings in the name of our Risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is Risen Indeed!

As it says in an ‘oldie but goodie’ song, will we see you in September? We surely hope so here at St. Paul’s. Parents, children and teachers are gearing up for a new school year and so are we. It’s a time of anticipation and excitement for new beginnings. We are still praying patiently for a new pastor as we are still moving forward with Christ as our Leader. We are still especially blessed and thankful for Pastor Dennis Rockett. We are blessed to celebrate Holy Communion three Sundays a month with Pastor Rockett. Please make worship time a priority. We will be continuing our schedule of worshipping together at 9:30 AM and Bible Study at 8:30 AM in Koepchen Fellowship Hall. Please join us as we discover and renew our faith as we remember how much God loves us and is calling us to live and love in a community of faith. Remember to keep strong in your faith.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We have many new, exciting things to share and celebrate. Mark your calendars! We will have the Blessings of the Animals with Pastor Rocket on October 4th. Bring your pets (or their photo.)

On Sunday, October 12th in Koepchen Fellowship Hall we will be celebrating Reformation Day remembering our Lutheran church’s heritage when Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the church doors at Wittenberg. Come join us in Koepchen Fellowship Hall at 2:00 PM for a viewing of a Luther movie and some delicious food and fine fellowship.

Our Ladies Aid will be hosting the LWML Fall Rally on Sunday, October 26th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in Koepchen Fellowship Hall after a worship service in our sanctuary. Our other sister Lutheran churches will be helping us with refreshments. A good time is always had by all. The ladies of the congregation are invited to a lovely afternoon.

We will be enjoying the classical guitar music of Tomas Rodriguez on Sunday, November 2nd at 3:00 PM.

A Veterans Day celebration will be on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at our 9:30 AM Worship Service, followed by a “Thank You” reception in Koepchen Fellowship Hall. If you are a veteran, please lend us a photo of yourself (in your uniform, if possible). Please bring it to the church office or Donna Munsch not later than October 26th.

We are also especially excited about our Happy Birthday Jesus Party on Saturday, December 6, 2025, open to children 3-6 years old. More information will be forthcoming. We are moving forward! God has certainly blessed us and is continuing His generous blessings on St. Paul’s. We are always looking for volunteers if you can help us.

A beautiful hymn helps us welcome our activities.

This hymn reminds us that God is forever with us leading and guiding us especially the words “Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow.”

We are moving forward with Christ as our Leader. Many new activities, a new year ahead, renewed with zeal and enthusiasm. New ways to serve to for the glory of God with the same wonderful Gospel message. Hope you will be part of what we have planned. See you in church as we worship together.

                 Great Is Thy Faithfulness

  1. Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
    There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
    Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
    As Thou hast been, Thou forever wilt be.

Refrain:
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

  1. Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,Sun, moon, and stars in their courses aboveJoin with all nature in manifold witnessTo Thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love. Refrain.

  2. Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
    Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
    Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
    Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside! Refrain
