In this season of gratitude, our hearts are filled with countless reasons to be thankful.  Saint Paul tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."  Thanksgiving is a daily act of worship, a declaration of faith, a reminder of who God is and what He has done for us.  Of transcendent importance are the free gifts of forgiveness of sin and the sure promise of eternal life through faith in the Lord Jesus. Thanks be to God!

On Sunday, November 1st, we will commemorate All Saints Day during our Divine Worship service.  Holy Communion will also be celebrated with Pastor Rockett.  In the words of the beloved hymn, "Oh, Blessed Communion, fellowship divine.  We feebly struggle, they in glory shine.  Yet all are one in Thee, for all are Thine.  Alleluia!"  Faith-filled saints from every place and time with unified voices eternally magnify the Lamb of God.  The Holy Spirit through faith in Christ propels us forward, fortifying us in Word and Sacrament, to our eternal home.  What a joy it will be to be reunited with ones dear to us!  Through all our trials and tribulations, doubts and uncertainties, we have been given "the rare jewel of Christian contentment."

We remain steadfast in our prayers for the Holy Spirit to provide Saint Paul's with a new pastor for our congregation, a pastor with a burning desire to ignite the flames of passionate faith into our community.  We honor those departed who worked tirelessly to build up Saint Paul's over many decades to spread the Gospel message to those in desperate need of the assurance of forgiveness and new life through faith in our Savior.  Please join us in constant prayer!
